John McDermott's latest show Elegy has caused me to have a religious experience and I feel the need to re-evaluate my life and my beliefs. Beautifully haunting with slightly melancholic undertones; John's photos make me wanna visit this "beautiful" country; John's ability to intensify the magnificence of this once troubled country; no doubt John's work appears dream-like and the photos "sequences" will provide the viewer with a beautiful end result.See at Sundaram Tagore Gallery thru July 1st. - Madame J.
