Maira Kalman

Israeli-born American artist Maira Kalman has an exhibition at "a local cultural institution" Witty, smart, quirky and fun Maira's show has been a hit at the museum. Visitors leave her show voicing their excitement and love for Maira's work I've run into her at the museum and she's a friendly and very down to earth person. It's comforting to know that her international success hasn't jaded her or make her appear to be unapproachable. Her daughter Lulu is just as friendly as Maira and they both share similar facial features except Lulu's taller than Maira. I highly recommend seeing the show now thru July 31st.

Maira Kalman's: An Evening with Maira Kalman that took place on April 7th at "a local cultural institution" on the east side was a nice surprise. Maira's an unassuming everyday looking woman who happens to be smart, extremely  and hysterically funny, witty, sharp, talented and an engaging storyteller; she kept the audience's attention not to mention my husbands (which at times depending on the function tends to wander). Every family probably has "an idiot list" Maira mentions that her family is no exception to the rule (LMAO). - Madame J.
