Aw who could resist ooing and awing over, Amy Jean's cute and cuddly imaginary world of make believe with America's favorite children's nursery rhyme Mary Had a Little Lamb. Of Lamb this fanciful show, is currently on view at PPOW Gallery until July 23rd. Amy Jean collaborated with poet Matthea Harvey (sister of lawyer turned artist Ellen Harvey) and provided the illustrations to Matthea Harvey's 106 poems. Amy's illustrations are so beautiful and fantastical that I viewed her illustrations twice in one sitting. Delicate, lovable, endearing and down right awesome I fell in love with the illustrations and unfortunately couldn't concentrate on the text (poems) sorry Matthea. But she definitely should be approached and offered a six figure sum deal by Anthropologie and/Urban Outfitters. Must must see it, see it, see it. - Madame J.
